Some Glimpses of our Staff at Work

Judy, part-time Business Manager and consultant, working hard keeping our business affairs in order. She has been with us since the day we opened our doors!
Ruta, in her hospital role as Inventory/Facility/Equipment Manager and Administrative Assistant. She assures that we always have what we need to provide the best medical care to our patients, and that our equipment is in top notch shape.
Deborah, Business Manager and Consultant, as well as part-time Client Service Coordinator – so caring for each and every one of our patients. Deb is very creative, as well as Excel-knowledgeable, and we tap those talents as well! Deb is also very actively involved with Feline Friends Chicago, www.felinefriendschicago.org.
Office Manager and Lead Client Service Coordinator Anne, always soft-spoken and very comforting to our patients and their owners. She assures that every client is provided top notch and caring service.
Client Service Coordinator Annie, reliably upbeat and smiling, even when retrieving patient charts!
Jennifer, Client Service Coordinator. Jen’s smile is infectious, she is a hard worker, an excellent cook (ask our staff meeting attendees!) and she is always tuned into the needs of our patient’s owners.
Lori, Certified Veterinary Technician, always smiling and eager to treat our patients! Lori has worked with cats exclusively for over a decade in the Chicago area, the majority of that time with Cat Hospital of Chicago. Lori works tirelessly to help care for our boarding and hospitalized patients over weekends and many holidays. She has taken an active role in orchestrating several of our clinical trials.
Kendra, Veterinary Technician Assistant, reading cytology under the microscope.  Kendra is gentle and caring in her handling of our patients and has become quite the ‘cat advocate’ in her years with us!
Karen, Animal Caretaker, providing TLC to one of our patients after providing him with clean and comfy bedding.
Lou, formerly one of our Animal Caretakers, she recently moved into the position of Veterinary Assistant, a role she has filled so well that some owners specifically request that she be the one to handle their kitty for blood draws, etc.!
Angie, who had been a front desk Client Service Coordinator for many years, moved into the role of Veterinary Technician Assistant a few years ago, and she has blossomed in this position. Angie is a gentle and compassionate cat handler, and she is very tuned into the individual needs of each patient and what may work to help calm them. She is able to remain calm even with the most riled patients! She is only with us part-time but we appreciate every hour of her time!
Melinda, Veterinary Nurse, is assessing a patient’s vital signs. Melinda has been with Cat Hospital of Chicago for over 10 years – we appreciate her years of loyal and dedicated service – undoubtedly her compassion for cats cannot be topped.
Kari, Veterinary Nurse, is pictured with her own kitty, Xerxes. Kari is an excellent client educator, helping ease owner’s hesitations regarding patient pilling, injections, and general and specialized home care.
Kate, Certified Veterinary Technican Kate, Certified Veterinary Technician, getting a weight on one of our patients. Like Lori, Kate has been an active coordinator in several of our clinical trial studies.
Michelle, Certified Veterinary Technician, getting ready to take digital dental x-rays on a patient. Michelle is very detail oriented – assuring that all patient treatments are performed in a timely fashion, and that patients under anesthesia are very closely monitored.
Cathy, Veterinary Technician Assistant, cleaning the cage of one of our patients that was recently released from the hospital. In addition to her love of cats, she is also interested in photography, and is great at capturing images quickly of our patients (before they move!).
Nicole, front desk Client Service Coorindator, preparing a patient chart for an upcoming visit. Nicole is always a pleasant and upbeat ‘meeter and greeter’ for anyone who walks through our doors.
Anne, Certified Veterinary Technician, typing up a patient prescription. Anne is so thorough and so patient with all of our owners — and she has a special fondness for our most geriatric patients.
    Cat Doctor Staff: Cat Heart
This “cat heart” was designed and drawn by our support staff. The heart with the cat’s head symbolizes our love for cats, with our hospital name at the top of the heart. The words that we believe best describe us are written around the periphery. Included as well is an ‘in memory of’ our first beloved hospital cat, Boo, in the tail – and names of team members around the border of the design. All that we do is a team effort and we are proud of our team!
