REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Technical Services Department

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Service all outpatient exam rooms. Maintain patient quarters while patient is hospitalized. Maintain supply of laundered towels and bedding.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Possess ability to monitor patient flow in order to determine where needs are. Know the hospital policies. Read and understand hospital manual. Know all employees and their positions. Know and use standard medical and business abbreviations for noting treatment and behavior changes. Possess good spelling abilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to read cage cards well enough to document changes in behavior. Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with clients and other employees. Standing/walking approximately 90% of the time. Moderate lifting (up to 25 lbs.) approximately 20% of the time. Bending/kneeling approximately 25% of the time. Must be able to work all hours the hospital is open.
